Tutorial #68

Tutorial #68

Made in Photoshop CS5, semi-translatable

Going from this: to this:

Requested by Djaq from NW.

First open up your base. Resize, crop, etc.

Duplicate your base and set it to screen 100% opacity.

Add an levels layer, and click auto.

Add a photo filter layer, select underwater at 25%, and check preserve luminosity. (For those who don't have the photo filter option, add a layer of 00c2b1 with 25% fill and set it to normal 25% opacity.)

Add a new layer of ffffff, and set it to soft light 100% opacity.

Add a brightness-contrast layer, and input these settings: brightness: -20, contrast: 20.

Add a gradient map layer (from black to white), and set it to soft light 100% opacity. (For those who don't have gradient map, just duplicate your original base, desaturate it, bring it to the top, and set it to soft light.)

Add a vibrance layer, and input these settings: vibrance: 100, saturation: 30. (For those who don't have the vibrance layer, just fiddle with the saturation to get a similar effect.)

Add a new layer, and set the layer to color 40% opacity. With a small fuzzy brush paint over Edmund's and the White Witch's faces with f3c7b4.

Add a new layer, and set the layer to soft light 40% opacity. With a small fuzzy brush, paint over the White Witch's hair with ffe400. Voila! There you have it!
