We managed to find a site that had the recap of the ice dancing competion. My favorites were (of course!) Meryl Davis and Charlie White and the Zaretskys (the Israeli brother/sister duo). I believe the men's competion starts tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to that. I hope Patrick Chan (Canada) and Michal Brezina (Czech Rep.) do well. Then on Friday, the ladies' competion starts. Go Kim Yu-na! :D

Sorry about that rant in my last post. I was so frustrated! Now I'm glad that the horrid judge got taken out, and that Ohno finally got his due and was disqualified. I was disappointed that Korea didn't end up with any golds in the last day of short track. :P Oh, well. I'm sure they'll do better next time.

I was so excited to see Kim Yu-na win gold!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew she could do it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was also glad that Joannie Rochette did so well despite the death of her mother. She did wonderfully. I thought that Asada Mao did well, too. It's just too bad that she had bad attitude about getting silver. She did her best and should've been proud of herself. But whatever.

I did get to see some of the gala show last night. I'll probably get the whole thing from iTunes or something.

The English subs were posted last night (or really early this morning)! Yay! So that's what I'll be doing after I finishing coding two applications for my computer class. I like it a lot, but it's hard to wedge my books on my tiny computer desk so I can read and type at the same time. *sigh* I really need a new desk.

Oh, yeah! I'm almost done with my new layout! It should be up pretty soon, and my sister is working on my new mood theme! Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel like this is the end. We just finished watching the last subbed Detective Conan episode yesterday so now we are all caught up. 561 episodes from sometime in October/November all the way to last night. Unbelievable? Well, I'm still on break, so I had time. The next episode comes out on Saturday, but I have no idea how long it will take for someone to sub it in English and upload it. At this rate, I should learn Japanese instead, lol. Actually, I DID think about it. It would be cool to know 2 Asian languages instead of just one! All this waiting is going to kill me! I am SO not patient.

I started reading one of the books from my 25 book challenge list. I decided to start with Mansfield Park. It's okay, I guess. I find myself being really annoyed with Miss Mary Crawford, Aunt Norris, the Bertram sisters, and well, just about everybody. Fanny Price is alright, I suppose, but she has very little confidence. And so, I keep reading, hoping for some consolation from Jane Austen. This may end up being the one Austen book that I do not like.

I think it was sometime last week that I watched The Young Victoria with my middle sister. I thought it was very well-made and well-done (except that there were too many bedroom kissing scenes). I've always been a great reader about royal families especially queens and princesses. :D I'll probably make some icons from it, possibly.

I can hardly believe it's already December! I'm SOOOOOOO excited!!! This Sunday night I'm going to a Tenth Avenue North concert!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also plan on getting a Christmas layout up, but I can't seem to find a layout that has a good color scheme. Does anyone know of a good layout community? I'm open to suggestions.

I'm SOOOOOOOOO excited!!!! Everywhere I turn people are preparing for the holidays. This is the first time in 4 years that I get to be home for Thanksgiving!!!! I always had to stay at school. :P

I've already turned on the Christmas music, and Mother says that we can put up the tree on the day before Thanksgiving. :D Our church services are on Tuesday just for that week, so we will probably put up the tree Wednesday night! I'm just SO excited! Full of the Christmas spirit, I guess, lol.

I was trying to work on some more Christmasy graphics, but I was not finding much at Morgue File that I liked. I'm hoping in the next couple of weeks to get some Christmas icons up. And hopefully a Christmas layout as well. :D

It must be the costume dramas. Or maybe it's that Brandon Heath song. I'm going London crazy! But I'm sure no one can tell!

Actually, I have been to London before. I got to see the outside of Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and the House of Parliament. I walked across London Bridge and went inside Westminster Abbey and St. Paul's. Saw the London Eye, though I didn't ride :'( Passed Trafalgar Square too. And saw where Tony Blair lived.

Some day, maybe, I'll go back. It's such a wonderful place!

I'm soooo excited about the BBC Emma. It's been excellent thus far. It's a lot closer to the book than the Miramax version was and develops the characters more. I absolutely abhorred the one with Kate Beckinsale. Ugh. She should stick to Pearl Harbor.

In the excitement of Emma, I made a bunch of Emma icons. I also tried doing some stock icons as well. I do think that stock icons will become a habit now. endelyn provided such lovely stock bases that I couldn't resist, and now I can't stop!

I just had finals last week for the 1st quarter. I think I did pretty well, provided I get a decent grade on my research paper for computer class. This next week is my fall break. We're supposed to paint my room this week, so I don't think that I will be on much. It's going to be almost baby blue but lighter and with a hint of teal.

Oh, and in addition to the icons and banners, I am posting one signature. I had a sudden inspiration for the Spareoom.net signature contest. I think it turned out really well.

*smacks head* I completely forgot! I got a new desktop yesterday. I absolutely love it. The screen is a lot bigger than my laptop's, and I have a wireless USB which is simply lovely. I have Vista, but I am planning to upgrade to Windows 7. Is anybody else planning to upgrade? I'd really prefer to have a Mac like my sister, but I have no reason to splurge since I don't plan on getting into graphics (though I do enjoy it). I'm thinking I'm going to go toward maintaining websites and such.

I've been so busy lately that I haven't really been keeping up with my graphics. And suddenly I had an outpouring of tutorial requests on NW. Needless to say, I've been pretty busy. And that's only the beginning.

I've been at church the last two weekends. First, at Pure Freedom, a purity retreat for the girls of our youth group. Then this past weekend, at a ladies conference. Both were absolutely wonderful but kept me rather busy.

School's been pretty good. But I'm getting really frustrated in my computer class because my research paper is due this week, and my professor still hasn't okayed my topic yet. He said he needed to check into! I am getting really stressed!

The summer always ends so suddenly. I mean, I am glad that school has started. I've gotten so bored, and it's never good when I'm not productive. But still, I feel sort of a loss.

Now that I've started online classes, I'm going to be swamped with schoolwork. Well, maybe not swamped. I'll get into school mode and try to concentrate on my studies. I'll still come on as often as I can, though.

I've been contemplating for a while that I need to get back into writing. I came across some manuscripts I wrote back in high school. I think I'm going to revive them. My writing has improved significantly since high school; so I though I might give the whole fiction writing thing another try.
