COMPLETE AND UTTER FAIL! I planned on reading 25 classics last year and only finished 3? Definite fail. :P

But I think I might redo the list and try again this year. Hopefully, it won't be a complete and utter fail.

I'm also doing this thing called "Blogging for Books." When you join the program, you get to choose a book (there weren't very many to choose from, so don't get TOO excited) which they will ship to you for free. Then you have to read the book and write a review in your blog and on a retailer site (like Amazon or CBD).

I just received my book in the mail on Monday. It's called The Pirate Queen, and it's by Patricia Hickman. I've already read it, but I'm still sorting out my thoughts. I guess you can look forward to the review sometime soon. :D

3 Down, 22 More to Go. . . . )

Well, I was looking up information on some of the books on my list and realized that some of them weren't worth reading. So I made a few changes. :D

I just started on The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes since I'm a mystery fan! :D It's good stuff!

One down, 24 more to go! I'm not going in any particular order. I'm planning on reading the ones I actually have here at home first before venturing out on other stuff.

Always give my life to you. . . . )

I just finished watching Return to Cranford. It was really good though I was sad that Dr. Harrison was gone and that Mary never found her other half. I'm glad that Harry did not die. That scene with the train was heart-wrenching! And Peggy's brother was horrible! They really casted well for this! I'm looking forward to reading the books!

I'm dying to watch the next Detective Conan. The new episode came out on Saturday, but no one has done English subs yet. It's so frustrating, especially since today is a holiday. The Korean subs were already up. My mom watched it earlier today. Though I'm pretty fluent in Korean, I'm not very good at reading subtitles especially since they run through so fast and my reading is very limited. Maybe tomorrow, they'll be up.

I started back my online classes today. For the first half of the semester, I'm taking Intro to Christian Thought, a theology class, and Business Application Programming, a computer class. I'm really excited about the programming class since I love messing around with computers.

Tomorrow, we have homeschool co-op. I help out in a cupcake decorating class for 4th through 6th graders. It's great because I got to decorate the leftovers!

I'm nearly done with Mansfield Park, and sad to say, good riddance. I will start on Persuasion next, and hopefully, I'll actually finish it! Every time I tried to read it, something always came up, and I wouldn't be able to finish it!

So here are some icons and 2 signatures from The Young Victoria and Detective Conan!

I feel like this is the end. We just finished watching the last subbed Detective Conan episode yesterday so now we are all caught up. 561 episodes from sometime in October/November all the way to last night. Unbelievable? Well, I'm still on break, so I had time. The next episode comes out on Saturday, but I have no idea how long it will take for someone to sub it in English and upload it. At this rate, I should learn Japanese instead, lol. Actually, I DID think about it. It would be cool to know 2 Asian languages instead of just one! All this waiting is going to kill me! I am SO not patient.

I started reading one of the books from my 25 book challenge list. I decided to start with Mansfield Park. It's okay, I guess. I find myself being really annoyed with Miss Mary Crawford, Aunt Norris, the Bertram sisters, and well, just about everybody. Fanny Price is alright, I suppose, but she has very little confidence. And so, I keep reading, hoping for some consolation from Jane Austen. This may end up being the one Austen book that I do not like.

I think it was sometime last week that I watched The Young Victoria with my middle sister. I thought it was very well-made and well-done (except that there were too many bedroom kissing scenes). I've always been a great reader about royal families especially queens and princesses. :D I'll probably make some icons from it, possibly.

Well, here are some icons, headers, and banners to fill your wait time as much as mine. Enjoy!

I'm taking this idea from [info]runfreebee, but instead of 50 books, I'm going to try for 25. :D So here's the list!

2010 Book Challenge )

I probably won't do a whole entire book review, but when I finish a book, I'll probably give a brief summary of my favorite parts and maybe some favorite quotes!
