Happy Thanksgiving, y'all! :D

I hope yours will be better than mine, lol. Not that mine won't be good, it's just that one of my professors decided to dump three mini-projects and a paper on me this week, and they're all due by midnight Sunday. :P Which means I'm doing school today, Friday (after shopping), AND Saturday.

This is going to be the longest week of my life. Both of my sisters are off on a youth retreat which leaves me alone with my parents. The house is SO quiet, and I'm starting to get bored despite all the cleaning that my mom is making me do. :P

Thankfully, I'm going out with a college friend tomorrow for lunch and book browsing. I think it's gonna be a life saver.

I haven't really updated in awhile except new textures and request posts. Sorry about that. I just started my 2nd quarter classes about 2 1/2 weeks ago, and things have been pretty hectic. I'm taking Philosophy and Contemporary Ideas and Object-Oriented Programming this quarter. The computer class is going okay, but the philosophy class is killing me. I've never been good with logic and arguing and all that. I'm not a shallow thinker, but I don't like to get into all that mind/body stuff. It's weird and boggles my mind. Ugh. And to top it off, my philosophy teacher is a hard grader. I feel like he's trying to ruin my 4.0 GPA. :P I really want to graduate with honors, especially because I know it would make my mom proud, not to mention the fact that if I can get in the Air Force Reserves it would look good on my resume. *sigh*

I'm thinking about opening a resources (and other stuff) community with my sister. If you haven't already, I would love if you check out my poll. I don't really want to start a community if not a lot of people are interested. Thanks to those who voted already. :D

The Winter Olympics has been really thrilling so far! I really enjoyed the Opening Ceremony, especially the parts with the Indians and the Irish jigging! The punk style was a bit weird though.

I'm mostly cheering for Korea, especially in speed skating, short track, and ladies figure skating. The Koreans have been doing pretty well thus far inspite of the crash in short track. I'm sure they'll make up for that, though! I'm really looking forward to the ladies' figure skating which starts on Tuesday. Such a LOOOOOOOONG wait!!!!!!!!!!! Lol.

Tonight will complete the men's skating. I really hope Plushenko wins the gold! I also like the Japanese Takahashi, the Czech Brezina, and the Canadian Chen. Lysacek was okay, I suppose. I didn't really like his style. *shrugs*

I was really happy to see Lindsay Vonn win the gold, despite her shin injury. I hope she does well in her other event as well!

Happy Groundhog's Day!

I totally forgot about it until my little sister brought it up this morning. Apparently, in the North, the groundhog saw its shadow and in the South it didn't or something like that. But it's kind of fun to find out whether it sees it's shadow or not.

In honor of the holiday, I made a groundhog cupcake! :D I'm helping in our homeschool co-op, and I decided to help out in the Creative Cupcakes class. The teacher had extras, so I got to make one too! It turned out so cute! It's a chocolate cupcake with royal icing for the snow, an Almond Joy for the groundhog, M&M's for its cheeks and eyes and ears, part of a gummy worm for its nose, and Oreo crumbs for dirt. ~~I took some pics, too.~~ I didn't get to eat it because I'm giving it to my dad to put in his lunchbox. :D

So here I am again waiting for subs. *sigh* This time it's the 2nd in a two-part episode. I'm dying to know what is going to happen. Hopefully, it'll be up tomorrow.

In the meantime,I've been making a ton of stock icons since Home of the Nutty was down for a bit. It can get pretty addicting! :D I've found a ton of great stock and fashion bases in addition to just regular stock image that I crop myself. Enjoy! :D
