favorite authors: c.s. lewis, j.r.r. tolkien, jane austen, agatha christie, and dorothy sayers.
main fandoms: jane austen, narnia, middle earth, detective conan.
don't's: i don't talk about news, politics, and -isms. for me, LJ is a place to get away from all that stuff, especially with COVID-19 and the nastiness that has been going on the last couple of years.
Most of my old icon posts are open, but any personal posts have been edited and locked.
Feel free to friend me, but I probably won't friend you back unless we interact often and/or have the same interests. Leave a comment below to be considered.

Date: 2021-04-01 05:25 pm (UTC)I know I have seen these covers before, but I'm not sure which company they are from. I think they are older, though. I'm guessing they are probably came out after 2005? They are definitely not any of the Signet Classics (I have a few of the old ones, and the new ones use a fancier font than those covers). Based on the font, I would almost say they are from Penguin (not their usual lines, maybe mass market or trade paperbacks) or maybe Puffin? I did manage to find the original photo (https://www.flickr.com/photos/emilymuffins/1967976586/). She purchased it from Waterstones, but the photo doesn't show the publisher.
I hope that helps somewhat!

Date: 2021-04-01 08:40 pm (UTC)I was wondering, since we've interacted a lot and we seem to have common interests, would you like to be friends? You sound really awesome, and you know Austen inside and out :) I'm sort of just becoming an Austenite XD
